Designers, as well as all savvy home owners, know that the magic of mirrors goes well beyond the theatrical illusionist. When it comes enhancing your home, mirrors do the trick. This is very important, especially when you are in the process of selling your home. A well-placed mirror can perk up a small dull room quicker than a Trading Spaces designer.
When you are selling your home, you should definitely have a mirror in your entrance. By hanging a suitably-sized mirror in your front hallway, your space is instantly expanded and your lighting is doubled. Any potential buyer will feel like your home is bright, cheery, and welcoming. The same holds true for any room in your house, providing you pick your spot wisely.
It’s not enough to hang your mirrors where tradition dictates without taking into consideration what will be reflected back. A mirror can magnify your problems – a cluttered room will look twice as cluttered and the fussiness of a floral couch against a poorly co-ordinated patterned wall paper, won’t reflect well on you at all.
Ideally a mirror should work hard to make the most of the room’s positive attributes, so try out a few spots and see what works best. Be creative – just because you have a fireplace, doesn’t mean that this is the only spot in the room for a mirror. Furniture can also be mirrored and is a highly effective way transforming a bulky outdated piece into something much sleeker and lighter in feel that blends effortlessly into a room instead of dominating it.
Mirrors come in so many shapes, sizes and styles that you will not have any trouble finding something that is just right for your home.
Good Luck!

Reading your article validated thatwe have utilied this technique in our home effectively.
When we moved into our 140 year old home it seemed very dark in some rooms and we used mirrors to bring in extra light from the windows as well as the light reflection from mirror to mirror and it has really brightened up these rooms.
It really works!!!
