Grilled Salmon on a Cedar Plank

March 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Many people shy away from grilling their favourite fillets of fish on the barbeque because it can be such a delicate process. The natural flakiness that tastes so great, can also be a challenge once the fish is cooked. By either wrapping your fish in foil, or better yet, grilling it on a cedar plank, you are assured loads of flavour that will just melt in your mouth, instead of falling through the grill.

Cedar planks – soaked for at least 20 minutes

Salmon Fillets

Fresh lemon juice

Bragg’s Seasoning, or other soy sauce

Freshly grated ginger

salt & pepper

fresh dill

  1. Combine seasonings, except for  the fresh dill, in bowl and mix well
  2. Season the salmon with the mixture
  3. Place your seasoned salmon fillet on the cedar plank, skin side down
  4. Top the salmon with the fresh dill
  5. Place plank with salmon on pre-heated grill with low to medium heat
  6. Grill the salmon for approximately 10-20 minutes, or until it flakes easily – keep the lid closed
  7. Serve immediately

Bon Appetit
